Funding Fees

Eligible working parents can access 30 hours of government-funded childcare for children aged 9 months to 4 years.

How old does my child need to be to access funding?
The funding applies to children from the term after they turn 9 months old until they start school. The entitlement is for 30 hours per week, for 38 weeks of the year.

What are the eligibility criteria?

Employment: Both parents must be employed, or in the case of a lone-parent family, one parent must be engaged in work. Additionally, parents who are temporarily absent from work due to specific leave are also eligible.
Income Limit: The annual income of neither parent should exceed £100,000.
Minimum Earnings Requirement: Each parent must earn at least the equivalent of 16 hours at the National Minimum Wage or National Living Wage.

How do I apply?

Once your application has been approved, you will receive an 11-digit code. Please provide this code to us so that we can verify the funding.

Can I get funding for my 2-year-old if I claim certain benefits?

Some parents may be eligible for 15 hours of free early education and childcare per week (totalling 570 hours per year) from the term following their child's second birthday, provided they receive certain government benefits or have a lower annual household income.

If you qualify, you will receive a code that you must provide to us for validation.

Be aware of application deadlines. You must apply by the specific cut-off dates for each term
(e.g., August 31, December 31, or March 31) to receive funding from the following term.
