Eligible working parents can access 30 hours of government-funded childcare for children aged 9 months to 4 years.
How old does my child need to be to access funding?
The funding applies to children from the term after they turn 9 months old until they start school. The entitlement is for 30 hours per week, for 38 weeks of the year.
What are the eligibility criteria?
- Employment: Both parents must be employed, or in the case of a lone-parent family, one parent must be engaged in work. Additionally, parents who are temporarily absent from work due to specific leave are also eligible.
- Income Limit: The annual income of neither parent should exceed £100,000.
- Minimum Earnings Requirement: Each parent must earn at least the equivalent of 16 hours at the National Minimum Wage or National Living Wage.
